You would think that having to go through a bunch of generator reviews would put you to sleep but they are pretty good these days as they not only have good feedback and information but some of them even have videos. The videos are great because it allows you to see and hear how the generator works and to evaluate how big it is and if it would work for your purposes. Most of the time you can get a good portable generator that would work for both your outdoor excursions and for your home should you ever need to use it for power there. The portable units generally do not generate as many watts as the stand alone generators but they can make it possible for you to get by in the even that you have no other source of power. For that reason it may be a good idea to get more watts than you intend to use while camping.
